Meet The Doctor
Tara Connolly, DC, grew up in the midwest, but Bible school brought her to Texas. Shortly after graduating from Christ For The Nations Institute in Dallas, TX in 2003, she went on a medical mission trip to Haiti led by an Ob/Gyn who trained midwives in a Haitian birthing center. She witnessed multiple deliveries in less than ideal surroundings, but enjoyed loving on mamas and babies until they were released. She knew she was called to be a Chiropractor during that trip.
Dr. Tara graduated with a Doctorate of Chiropractic, a Bachelor’s in Anatomy, and a Bachelor’s in Health & Wellness from Parker College of Chiropractic. While interning at the Dallas VA, she had the honor of serving several Veterans and co-managing their care with other hospital physicians.
After graduating from Parker College of Chiropractic, Dr. Tara opened Sozo Chiropractic & Wellness, LLC, in January 2011, in Southlake, TX. She loves educating the public about how Chiropractic allows our body to express optimum life potential, especially after the stresses that come with pregnancy and birth. She is privileged to currently serve in the Grapevine Birthing Center. She is Webster Certified and continues to further her education with the ICPA and other family based courses in order to offer families the most effective prenatal, infant and pediatric care.
Since learning how Chiropractic can dramatically change the life of mother and baby before, during and after labor, she can’t help but wish there had been a Chiropractor available to help care for the mothers and babies in Haiti. She hopes to one day return to the country and share the life-giving principles of Chiropractic that she currently gets to share with those in the DFW area.
Dr. Tara is married to her best friend, Greg. They have served together at the Southlake Campus of Gateway Church for the past 5+ years. In her spare time, she enjoys running, reading, spending time with family and friends, and anything that has to do with being outside on a nice sunny day.
